Understanding How Dental Insurance Works

There’s a reason dental insurance is separate from medical insurance. For one, medical insurance is usually meant to cover treatments for existing problems, while dental insurance is largely intended for preventive issues. This is because after a dental issue has developed, it doesn’t get any better on its own. Over time, the problem only gets worse. As a result, insurance providers encourage people to make the most of preventive treatments and minor restorative services.

What Your Dental Insurance Plan Covers

While our dental office is in-network with Delta Dental only,  we do accept all PPO insurances. Every dental plan has its own benefits, with most insurance companies following the 100-80-50 structure.

Children’s Medicaid

At Renaissance Dental, we are pleased to accept Medicaid and CHIP at our dental office in Fort Worth. We know your child’s oral health is important to you, and we also understand that treatment can oftentimes be quite expensive. Fortunately, your child will receive top-of-the-line dental care that is affordable. Because they are prone to cavities and other problematic issues, our team can provide trusted services that are designed to keep teeth and gums healthy as they grow and develop into the next stage of life. Although Medicaid and CHIP are designed with preventive care in mind, our team will work to keep your costs low should your child need restorative or emergency dental assistance.
